The Poker Player’s Alliance is an organization started by the online gaming community to attempt to repeal the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act which was passed into law in late 2006. A majority of the online poker rooms no longer accept American players for money… which makes it harder for us novices, with limited access to a brick and mortar casino, for us to learn and hone our poker skills.

The only reason for this law, in my humble opinion, is the fact that the US Government can’t tax it and therefore is acting like the mob who isn’t getting their cut of the profits.

Currently, Full Tilt, which does still allow American players to play for money, is offering players a bonus until Monday March 5, 2007 if they join the PPA with a donation of anywhere from FREE to $1000 and bonuses of anywhere from a special freeroll to $1000 respectively.

If you currently play Full Tilt for money, you want to support the organization to repeal the UIGEA bill or you could be next. If you NOT currently a member of Full Tilt, there’s no better time to join. Tell them that niugnep sent you.
