I’ve had a home poker game for awhile now. We have a pretty simple structure. It’s $20/buy-in. No rebuys. $1000 in chips. Blinds go up every 20 minutes. Winner take all tournament format. Everyone can drink as much as they want.
Recently, Mark Holmes (writer for Poker Penguin) brought his camera over and snapped some pictures after he got taken out and I thought some people might be interested in seeing what our home tournament game looks like, with pictures of some of the writers of this blog. So without further ado, I give you two pictures from last week’s game.

Pictured (from left to right): Joey Barsell, Lilly Rowland (our dealer), Wayne Williams, Mike Heckman, David White, and Liz Mauer. Photo by Mark Holmes.
The game ended with Mike and I heads up. He went all in on the short stack with pocket 4s. I called with A9os. On the river I got a 9 to win the game.

That’s my fully stocked bar in the background… it’s a wonder I’m able to play at all with that thing open.
