The frustration of micro-limits

I’ve been playing a lot of .05/.10 ring games. I don’t know what my problem is, but I just can’t get a handle on it. I get some incredibly bad beats, which I suppose is expected. But still… I’ve been rating my play with Poker Tracker… of the two last ring games I’ve kept the stats for, I’ve rated as tight-aggressive and semi-loose-aggressive respectively.

Isn’t that good? But consistently, I’ve lost… I mean not much… a dollar here, a dollar there… Earlier today, I ended up down a total of .90, which is probably about average… I only just started tracking my poker play (I know, I know).

The only games that I’ve consistently won money at are tournaments. Every time I’ve played in a money buy-in tournament, I’ve placed in the money.

What is that makes me a decent tournament player (I’m assuming) and a bad micro-limit player? What is the secret formula for micro-limit games that I’m missing?
