According to the Donkey Test, I am NOT a donkey. Whew.
I scored an even 100. Which means that I’m an average player, which is what I thought (hoped)… Not bad for someone who has only been playing about 6 months, eh?
This has been posted to a couple of blogs that I read and hesitated posting about it because I didn’t want them to think that all I do is just read their post and copy them… but I couldn’t resist the temptation and finding out how I rated. Course, I was scared that I’d find out that I was a complete donk… glad to know your worst fears aren’t realized. Here’s the rating info:
40 - 54 Super Donkey (Less than 1% of test takers)
55 - 69 Donator (2.3% of test takers)
70 - 84 Donkey
85 - 114 Average (68% of test takers)
115 - 129 Low to Mid-Stakes Pro
130 - 144 High Stakes Pro (2.3% of test takers)
145 - 160 Poker Genius (Less than 1% of test takers)
Well… that’s actually the way I rated myself, so it’s good to have verification of this.
Enough talk already… take the test and let me know how you rate! There are a lot of difficult questions and it’s timed, so set aside 30 mins or so to take. I’m tempted to get my full report for $10, but not tempted enough… I think I know what areas I’m weak in and what areas I felt confident in.
Anyway… I guess it’s either time to hit the tables or the books… or both
So, how do you rate?

Hehe, I scored 110 or 109, can’t remember the exact number. Which is about where I rate myself at the moment. There’s quite a few leaks I need to work on. Especially not folding when I know I’m beat at the river.

[…] Today I read Poker Penguin’s post on the Donkey Test and decided right then and there that I would take the test no matter what. I was not curious about whether I was a donkey or not. I already knew that I wasn’t. I didn’t need to take a mind numbing test to confirm that I was a poker genius. My main reason for taking the test was to gain bragging rights over my fellow poker bloggers at Pokerdog and Poker Penguin. […]
