It’s that time of the year, for all the new resolutions to come out of the wood works. Here’s a few poker resolutions that I have.

1. I don’t cold-call that often, but I resolve to cold-call even less.
2. Play more live poker. I play online a lot… but seriously… it’s boring. At least live it’s interesting. Besides, if I really want to improve my game, I better be good at live play.
3. Stop giving people credit for knowing how to play poker… I do this playing live all the time. I expect that they know what they’re doing and fold mediocre holdings, only to discover that they were holding even weaker hands and betting them like maniacs.
4. Play more tournaments.
5. Improve my cash game.
6. Learn to trust my instincts.
